Istvan Kantor's work was recently featured at the Currency 2005 International Performance Art Festival in New York City and at the KunstFilmBiennale in Koln, oct/2005. His new single channel video „Revolutionary Song” was premiered by Pleasure Dome/LIFT in december/05 in Toronto. Meanwhile he also appeared at the Criminal Court of the City of Berlin for his illegal blood-x intervention at the hamburger Bahnhof. Istvan Kantor is a recepient of the 2004 Governer General's Award for Visual and Media Arts. He was also arrested and jailed a number of times for his art-actions in museums. Kantor precently lives in Toronto with his three children Jericho (15), Babylon (13) and Nineveh (10). |
